Preventive Dentistry and Dental Cleanings are very important

Healthy teeth and gums are crucial for optimal oral health. Don’t let offenders like decay, gum disease, and oral cancer rob you of a fantastic smile. Dr. Stovall and Dr. Cheng can  stop these smile-stealers with comprehensive general  dental care

We recommend that you come in for a thorough checkup and cleaning every six months so that we can prevent dental problems in the early stage, before they create significant damage. In your checkup, if we find that you suffer with frequent headaches or jaw pain, we’ll study your jaw position and may recommend an oral appliance to relieve TMJ dysfunction or teeth grinding. For snorers, we offer an oral appliance that positions the jaw forward to allow free airflow and alleviate snoring and sleep apnea. Our athletic patients will benefit from a custom-made mouthguard to prevent oral injuries in the game and on the field. Dr. Stovall and Dr. Cheng can also check wisdom teeth and perform minor oral surgeries in the comfort of our office. So whatever your general or preventive dental need, we have you covered!

Make dental care a priority. Take a moment to review our general and preventive dentistry options, and then call our Fort Worth office to schedule your appointment with Dr. Stovall or Dr. Cheng. We provide quality dental care to residents of Granbury Weatherford, Benbrook, and surrounding areas.

Invisalign

Orthodontics That Will Keep You Smiling
Do you dream about having a smile full of sparkling, straight teeth, but you just can’t imagine yourself wearing traditional metal braces? You’ve probably invested in a professional, mature image, and you shouldn’t have to look like a teenager to straighten your teeth. We agree. Now we can make your dreams come true.

Invisalign®, an orthodontic treatment approved by the FDA, is the virtually invisible method to straighten your teeth without conventional metal braces. With Invisalign®, a custom-molded set of transparent, removable aligners will progressively reposition your teeth. You can simply remove the aligners before eating, brushing, flossing, or special occasions. This technology is more comfortable and convenient that traditional braces. Patients do not experience the mouth abrasions caused by metal and wires, and Invisalign® aligners are easy to clean. Adjustment appointments aren’t necessary, either.

How does Invisalign® work? First, we use 3-D computer imaging to design a comprehensive treatment plan. This allows you to preview the final positioning of your teeth before you start treatment. Yes, you will see your future smile before treatment begins.

Then a lab will create a series of aligners to reposition your teeth over one to two years. You’ll change aligners every two weeks until your smile is straight and beautiful. Typically, you will visit us every six weeks for progress reports.

Transparent, removable, no-hassle orthodontia – now that should put a smile on your face!

Composite Resin Fillings

Many people ignore tooth or mouth pain, thinking it will go away. The truth is, the discomfort and damage caused by dental decay only worsens if left untreated. To esthetically restore the health of teeth compromised by tooth decay, Dr. Stovall and Dr. Cheng use tooth-colored composite resin fillings.

During your checkup or new patient exam, we’ll examine your existing dental work for wear and check the health of your teeth with our non-invasive DIAGNOdent laser. If you need a new filling or want old ones replaced, our dentists will tint a small bit of composite resin to blend with the color of your existing smile, then bond the resin into the prepared cavity in your tooth to restore structure and appearance. Durable composite resin fillings won’t warp or change shape, and they resists decay, providing long-lasting protection.

Call 817-292-5957 today to schedule your appointment with Dr. Stovall or Dr. Cheng. Our Fort Worth dental office provides functional, esthetically pleasing dental therapies to residents of Aledo, Weatherford, Benbrook, and surrounding areas.

Vizilite Oral Cancer Screening

Vizilite

A Dental Visit Could Save Your Life

Many people aren’t aware that oral cancer causes one American death every hour and has for 40 years. While other cancers are decreasing, oral cancer is still on the rise, up a projected 11% over last year. More than 30,000 people will be diagnosed this year, but only 57% will live more than 5 years. The key to survival is early diagnosis.

In many cases, oral cancer is diagnosed when white lesions appear on the soft tissues in the mouth. By the time we can see these spots, it may be too late to save the patient. Recent advances have produced diagnostic tools that detect oral cancer before the lesions are visible to the naked eye, increasing the cure rate to greater than 80%!

ViziLite Oral Cancer Detection

We recommend that you receive a Vizilite oral cancer assessment once a year. We use ViziLite Plus with TBlue 630, a safe, convenient, and effective diagnostic and marking system. You will simply rinse with a special solution, then we’ll examine your mouth’s soft tissues with the help of a low-energy light. The solution makes underlying oral cancer cells visible as white patches.

We mark the white patches with TBlue 360, a safe dye that will show us where the suspect areas are after we remove the low-energy light. We will then take intraoral photographs to keep on file and send to your dental or medical insurance carrier.

Shocking Facts about Oral Cancer

Has Killed One American Every Hour for 40 Years
More Prevalent than Hodgekin’s Disease and Skin Cervical, Brain, Liver, Testes, Ovary, and Kidney Cancers
More than 25% of Oral Cancer Victims Do Not Use Tobacco, Alcohol, or Have Other Lifestyle Risks
While 30K People Will Be Diagnosed This Year, Only 57% Will Live More Than 5 Years

Dental Implants

A beautiful, comfortable, functional smile requires a full set of strong, healthy teeth. If you’ve lost one or more teeth to decay, trauma, or disease, our dentists can restore your quality of life with natural looking dental implants.

Many patients turn to dental implants because they seek a prosthetic tooth or teeth that look and feels like nature intended. Implants feature a prosthetic root and crown, so they mimic natural tooth structure. No adhesives or clasps are required, and you will never have to worry about mouth irritation or embarrassing slippage. Cared for properly, dental implants can last a lifetime.

Good oral health and adequate jawbone structure are necessary to support dental implants. If you’re a candidate, Dr. Stovall or Dr. Cheng can surgically place tiny titanium posts in your jaw, one for each implant crown or a few to support a bridge, partial, or denture. Some implants allow for immediate attachment of a restoration, while others require a healing process prior to attachment. Dr. Stovall or Dr. Cheng can consult with you to determine the best option for your unique case.

To find out how dental implants can improve your smile, call our Forth Worth office today to schedule your consultation with one of our skilled dentists. Our progressive dental practice is convenient to Crowley, Aledo, Weatherford, and surrounding areas.

Cosmetic Dentistry, Porcelain Veneers

Your smile affects how you feel about yourself. If you’re not happy with your front teeth, let us transform them with attractive, custom-made porcelain veneers.

Designed to completely cover flaws like chips, discoloration, or misalignments, veneers alter the appearance of teeth in the smile zone. Natural looking and long lasting, your custom veneers will rejuvenate your smile, increasing your confidence and enhancing your social and professional interactions, all in as few as three visits.

At your veneers consultation, we’ll examine your mouth facial structure to design your one-of-a-kind porcelain veneers. Dr. Stovall or Dr. Cheng will then remove a small amount of enamel from each tooth that will receive a veneer, and we’ll take an impression to send to the dental lab. Before you leave the office, we’ll place temporaries.

A skilled ceramist will hand make your veneers from fine dental porcelain that reflects light like natural tooth enamel. When your custom veneers are completed, Dr. Stovall or Dr. Cheng will remove your temporaries and bond your permanent veneers in place, giving you a gorgeous new smile.

Call our Fort Worth office today to schedule your porcelain veneers consultation with Dr. Stovall or Dr. Cheng. We’re improving smiles in Granbury, Weatherford, Benbrook, and surrounding areas.
